Fill in the Blanks...I should

Diet and exercise whimsical drawing from Bernart
You can be as silly or serious as you want!  one word, a sentence or a paragraph if you'd like!  I thought this would be fun.

I should...

I should start exercising...really I haven't run a lap since I graduated from High School.  That was 20 years ago!

Seasons Change...Week 21

Season:  one of the four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), beginning astronomically at an equinox or solstice, but geographically at different dates in different climates.

Every morning on our way to my daughters school  we go past a ranch with a long row of big trees that surely change with the seasons but we hardly notice.  My kids and I have decided to embark on a project that will help us notice that gradual change on the trees.  My daughter Sophia  will take at least a weekly picture after school for a whole year, I will post it on my blog entry on Thursdays and my little one Xavi wants in it too so he will take a picture of some cows from a different ranch and improve his picture taking skills.

This picture taken on  2-23-11  I was thinking since spring is just around the corner  we will have to do some close up of the branches to catch some green sprouting!  Next week.

Cow story:  the cows we used to take pictures of have been missing since December.  Kids are on the lookout!
Yes, it has been suggested before!  Missing cows = meat department!

Some ground meat??  hamburgers or cheeseburgers??

Maybe some carne asada Xavi suggested! sad end for the cows :(
We just don't know so we will keep searching for the cows all around town!

Cold afternoon at the park.

We are really enjoying our week off!  Can it last forever the kids ask??
...I know the answer!
This afternoon we went to the park,
the kids were sweating
I was freezing...
maybe I should play more often!

I think I should!!

Fun in the Snow

This President's Day my husband had the day off and my father
in law visited us so we went to look for some snow
in our neighbor towns  of Mountain Center
and Idyllwild 25 miles from us!

First we stopped at Hurkey Creek Park in
Mountain Center, California
a campsite near a river.

Kids threw snowball at each other and at their dad!  I played with my camera.

Sophia was a good sport and wanted to model for me.

Xavi just wanted to play in the snow.
Three generations of the Aguilar family.

Silly Sophia!

For lunch we stopped at Idyllwild cute little town and the best food!

Then we went for a walk...this is their shopping mall.  So cute.

Say cheese!

Hope you had a fun President's Day!  We did!

I'm still finding facts about me!

These are not not the cows from our Seasons Change project

1.  I love the smell of fresh manure in the morning (weird I know!)
2.  I don't perform well after 8:00 pm
3.  I am allergic to shrimp (can't remember if I told you this already)
4.  I am so fast at starting a new project.
5.  If I get bored I put it away and maybe...only maybe never finish it!

Fill in the Blanks...I dance

Tee screen print by ScreenTeeGallery

I dance...

NOT!!  I am pretty self conscious...  well let me admit I've done silly dances only with my kids!
Although I read somewhere that people look dumb just by standing and staring at people dancing so they should dance anyways!

New Toy!!

I got me a new camera!!
I don't care if my hair is a mess right now!!

I am taking pictures like crazy!!  Sophia does not mind at all,
She wants to be my model.
I don't even know how to use it
so I have to read the manual and
learn how to take better pictures!

I am just happy with my new toy right now!

Ok I know dry trees are getting pretty boring, this picture taken on 2-16-11  we're almost half way thru  our  project and hoping to get some green action on these trees soon!  There's some rain in the forecast for this week.  Finally!

Sophia came home this week with the cutest pencil topper...a cow!  These cow pictures will do for this week!

Morning Laughs...Roger that Captain!

I hate being late or rushing, so every morning I get the kids up at 6:00 am
except for Valeria my stepdaughter who needs a little
more time and she wakes up at 5:15 am.
If we're not out the door by 7:20 I am stressed
and my morning has had a bad start...

This morning I told my four yr.old 'Xavi go get some clothes on
and don't forget clean underwear'
(I've learned that either we both pick out his clothes
or he does it himself so he'd be a happy camper in the mornings)

He comes back to me wearing this Star Wars
Clone Trooper Helmet
'Xavi I said go get some clothes on and don't forget clean underwear!'

Roger that captain!! was his answer
he made me laugh!
I never thought I'd be a captain
or a Clone Trooper's mom...

So of course I had to tell him not to move and to wait,
I ran downstairs to get my little camera
Here's my Little Clone Trooper in his Batman PJs!
Oh and we managed to get out of the house in time!

...and I even laughed some more:
Sophia told me 'mom when that baby came out of you
we had an agreement, that I'd be his boss'
I just don't remember signing such a thing!!

Nature's Love

Even mother nature spells out Love

As we waited in the High School parking lot last week  for
Valeria to get out of School,
the kids get out of the car
to run around.
Sophia spotted this Heart in the middle of the grass!
I didn't have my camera with me that day,
and the following day I forgot it also!!
But the next day it was still there!
Thank goodness because sure enough the
following day early in the morning
the gardener was mowing the grass
and no more heart!

Just wanted to share!

Happy Valentine's day enjoy it with your loved ones!

Happy Mail

I just started postcrossing!!!   I am now so glad I did it and so mad at myself for not having started doing this earlier.  It's so fun opening your mailbox and finding little surprises like this...

OUTGOING MAIL:

This is a postcard I cut out of the cover of a book and it was sent to the Netherlands

This beautiful postcard I found on one of my local thrift shops and it was sent to Italy (I wanna go there someday!)

Another great find!  Handpainted postcard sent to Nampa, Idaho

This one I sent to Russia.  It is titled "Money"  I wish I could send everybody some...money I mean.

I received this beautiful one WA, USA

 I received greetings from Belarus!

This postcard came from England.  This is the Corfe Castle and the very interesting story of King Edward the Martyr.

How is that for traveling all over the world???  Happy Sunday my friends!

Pretty dead trees!  No sign of any green yet!

Cow story:  the cows we used to take pictures of have been missing since December.  Kids are on the lookout!
This time we headed for the Hemet Ryan airport.

Ok it's a small town, so its a small airport...

and actually we just went in to the small Memorial Park

but we had  to leave in a  hurry because Xavi started doing the "I need to go to the bathroom dance"...no cows there...

What to Buy on a Wednesday...lol

I was thinking the other day do people really lol??  Following info taken from Wikipedia

LOL, an abbreviation for laughing out loud,[1][2] or laugh out loud,[3] is a common element of Internet slang. It was used historically on Usenet but is now widespread in other forms of computer-mediated communication, and even face-to-face communication. It is one of many initialisms for expressing bodily reactions, in particular laughter, as text, including initialisms for more emphatic expressions of laughter such as LMAO[4] ("laughing my arse/ass off"), ROTFL[5][6][7][8] ("roll(ing) on the floor laughing") or ROFL[9] ("roll(ing) on [the] floor laughing"), and BWL ("bursting with laughter", above which there is "no greater compliment" according to technology columnist Larry Magid).[10] Other unrelated expansions include the now mostly historical "lots of luck" or "lots of love" used in letter-writing.[11]
The list of acronyms "grows by the month"[5] and they are collected along with emoticons and smileys into folk dictionaries that are circulated informally amongst users of Usenet, IRC, and other forms of (textual) computer-mediated communication.[12] These initialisms are controversial, and several authors recommend against their use, either in general or in specific contexts such as business communications.

So I searched etsy for lol, and this is what I found:

Do you really mean lol when you mail a card? Lol card in blue by ClaireandMeDesigns

Maybe people lol in their dreams, Texting pillow by TheSilverLion

Well, we all know for sure babies do lol. Onesies by klzart
I am sure you would even lol if you wore this cute Froggy LOL Hat by FranksAndBeans
Wow!  I just found out even silly bands lol!  Earrings by anjedesigns

Even your USB storage drive can lol! Drive by WeebeeDrives

I might dare to say this is the top winner...lol really?? by chaiseandfour

To me if it makes me laugh in my head it is definitively lol! Take all of these great etsy finds for example! Come on  have a little laugh...
