So here are the photo booth pictures. You can be silly and nobody really cares! the whole point is actually being silly! We had to wait for Emma to wake up in order for her to join in and luckily she didn't even notice the headband on her head or else she would have taken it off. As of lately everything at her arm's length she wants to grab.
Well let me rephrase the fun part...so much fun until a big girl, older than my son comes up and asks him to take pics with her :/ Xavi said no at first, but then his dad told him you never say no to a girl. Hmm I thought how dare an older girl come up to my little boy?...sigh.
The girl requested no props so my little gentleman granted the girl's wishes.
Hesitant and a bit timid lover boy took the pictures.
Afterwards we noticed he came out looking the same in all the pictures.
This past Saturday we joined in a wedding celebration in Tecate Mexico. Tecate it's a border sister with Tecate, California it's a lovely valley surrounded by mountains. I was afraid we were not only going to bake but steam as well. I was glad I was wrong because the weather was just perfect.
The invitations said ceremony at 6:00 pm, well we get there and everybody is still doing preparations. We were told by the Bride's sister that ceremony will start at 7:00 pm She was sneaky but very smart. You see there's the pacific, mountain, central and eastern time zones and then there's the "Mexican time zone." Not very proud of that but you should know that most Mexicans are always late if you tell them be there at 3:00 they'll be there at 5:00 if lucky. Then there's always the Mexican saying "you're never late to a party!" ...but then again we're not regular Mexicans we hate being late!
So we got to enjoy the ceremony as planned. The Bride was my husband's cousin, she was beautiful she is a seamstress and made her own dress! They make a very good looking couple. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs Bravo!
The ceremony took place right when the sun was hiding, the night falling and the moon coming up! It was just magical!
It was a knockout reception outdoors as well, good music (although Sophie didn't enjoy the music that much) and good food too! Emma had a hard time once she fell asleep. The poor thing kept waking up because of the music and I bet she was not comfortable sleeping in her stroller. When we were leaving she finally had a meltdown and cried non-stop in the car for a long time. Javier stopped the car so I could comfort her and put her back to sleep but it took a while...sigh. Next morning she woke up fresh as a lettuce and smiled as I greeted her good morning. Oh that girl!
This is how it all ended shoes off! LOL!! I don't know who they belonged to but I thought it was so funny that I had to take a pic. I will come back this week to share a couple more pictures of the photo booth fun we had.
...well sort of, we didn't dress up or anything, but I did plan it and took my camera.
Xavi has a doctors appointment early Monday morning,
so I picked him up from school and did not return him.
We saw the doctor because I had a few questions and concerns, he assured me everything was normal. This is not the first time that a doctor sends me home with the words
"Don't worry momma you are doing good".
Anyways, after the appointment I asked Xavi if he wanted to go on a date with me.
He was over the moon with the idea.
He remember the times when he was not in school and we dropped off Sophia and go thrift shopping.
We had fun, we went to a couple of crafts stores.
Stopped for a burger and shake at Jack in The Box. Then went shop thrifting where he bought a deck of cards for his magic tricks and bought a box to store his beyblades...which he did talk a lot about.
Something funny happened while we were sipping on our shakes, this lady I say she was in her 60s approached me and asked me if he was my son. I said yes, she said I looked young enough to be his sister. I took that as a compliment although I know she was exaggerating a tad bit or a whole lot to be honest. You must have had him young she asked, no not really I said I was 35. Then it must be your skin she said. Then she started taking about skin and makeup and hair color, her background and her exes, her children and stepchildren, her poetry classes she is taking in college. It was funny because she would stare at Xavi and she did mention that he looked a lot like her son when he was young now 42. In less than 10 minutes she told me half of her life story while I was sipping on my shake I didn't mind it. I was even tempted to ask her to sit down with us. But then I thought no she will never finish and the truth is I am not that open with complete strangers besides my date with Xavi must go on. She was a little chatter box she said that herself.
We had a nice time I made him feel special and he made me feel special. He said we should do this again when he is sick or at least have a not so important doctors appointment.
Me and my husband had the opportunity to go to Xavi's Valentine's Day Party last month as volunteers. My, my, my yes it's March already. Before this month is over let me tell you real quick the highlights of the party. Taylor's mom came to me. Now I've mentioned Taylor on this blog before she is the girl with the pink hairband on the picture. Taylor's mom is a mom helper on the class so she interacts with the kids at school. Anyways, she came to me and told me "Did you know Xavi and Taylor have a love thing going on?" Yes I nodded, he won't stop talking about her at home I told her. She nodded too "She won't stop talking about him either and mentions repeatedly that she likes him. He is a good boy so I told her it's ok to like him". That made me feel good... or not :/

The following week the kids had a whole week off school and we spent a couple of days in San Diego at my mom's. On the ride
there Sophia took a short video and I thought it was very hilarious, I was flipping the radio stations right before Sophia was ready to give her message.
I bet you didn't know I listen to Mexican country music and I bet you didn't know either that Sophia has a fan club.

It's time to be honest and come clean. Yes I've done them all except I repeat except number 1 which is eat like a dog. Unless it was way way back in the day that I've blocked it for my mind (Please God let it be that I blocked it...)
Sophia, Xavi and my niece answered yes to all of them.
One thing I realize when having a full house is that man these people eat every three to four hours! My husband is cooking now and then, I also have pulled out the cereal boxes from the pantry once or twice for breakfast. The kids keep on taking out toys and I keep telling them to clean up. Or at least pretend they have cleaned up.
A couple of days ago we went to Idyllwild. Not much snow, but it was cold. My nose turned red and Xavi was sorry he didn't take his beanie, he borrowed his dad's for a while. We bought coffee and hot chocolate and stopped by the local bakery.
This is one small rental space that I have been eying, one day I will have a shop here to sell my little creations.
Not much to do but eat and watch TV and wait for
the New Year to come.

I told you it was a busy one!
Right after we finished at Chris's Burgers and took the picture of the wax dummies my husband started driving around the area. We've seen a sign before for a wild West Arena but never really stopped, so we went to find out what it was.
This seems like a nice place where they have wild horses rides, good food (that's what they said anyways we shall see), karaoke nights, live bands and different events I am thinking rodeo events. It sounds like a great place to experience the wild wild west ;) Even though it says open 7 days a week they told us that they only have sporadic and limited events till February and to like them on Facebook (everybody has Facebook don't they?) I can't wait to go and see what goes on in there.
When we got home we watched a soccer game. I am not a super fan of sports and do not follow the teams all year long. But this was the Championship for the MX league. The Xolos a 1 1/2 year old baby team from Tijuana, Mexico was in the finals. I was born in Tijuana and of course pride, excitement, anguish, happiness, nervousness all those emotions come afloat! Xolos won 2 to 0 Happy Sunday!! Go Xolos!!
We also had planned to go buy our Christmas tree and put it up, but you can only do so many things right?? so hopefully this weekend.
