Etsy finds...vintage school supplies.

I was just thinking how weird it sounds when I can trace back time and say 30 or 35 years ago! Heck I can even go back a few more years than that.  Wow...Double wow!  

My children always like it when I tell them stories about my childhood memories. They also like it when I tell them each one of them their birth story.  Now you know I am not that old right?  but I am just planning on preparing a post on each of their birth stories before I forget them.

Anyways, just like a little recollection here's some vintage school items that I found on etsy...did I say vintage?  yikes I told you it sounds so weird!

Holly Hobbie is the timeless and ever popular 1970's girl with the blue calico giant bonnet and apron.  Now I don't recall exactly my own lunchbox but this image brought back lots of memories.

Oh, how I loved it.

This is my own family.  

No family is perfect in my opinion.  In mine there is drama now and then, challenges, daily struggles, fights and reconciliations.  

This is my bunch, the one I take care of and pray for everyday.  They're the ones I want to  grow old with and the ones I want to see grow up happy and healthy. 
I really want them to be successful adults 
and start a family of their own.

Cereal Killer

I saw this Cereal Killer spoon this morning on Etsy's front page.  Congratulations to ForSuchATimeDesigns on Front Page by the way.  It instantly put a smile on my face and reminded me of my childhood years.

I wasn't a cereal killer back then, I was actually a cereal saver!  I used to daydream while eating my cereal, that my cereal was drowning and I saved each one of them.  I loved Trix cereal you know the one for kids. So yeah, I saved each one of the colorful passengers. To be the hero I left the babies and children the last ones to be saved.
