Seasons Change Week 16

Season:  one of the four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), beginning astronomically at an equinox or solstice, but geographically at different dates in different climates.

Every morning on our way to my daughters school  we go past a ranch with a long row of big trees that surely change with the seasons but we hardly notice.  My kids and I have decided to embark on a project that will help us notice that gradual change on the trees.  My daughter Sophia  will take at least a weekly picture after school for a whole year, I will post it on my blog entry on Fridays and my little one Xavi wants in it too so he will take a picture of some cows from a different ranch and improve his picture taking skills.

This picture was taken on  1-11-11 No leaves on most of the trees.  I ask myself if these few trees will also loose the leaves?  I forgot from last year!

As far as the cows...can you believe me and Xavi spotted some cows while driving!  They were being transported as precious cargo in a long semi truck.  Now, we are now sure if those were our cows and we did not have our little camera handy! I asked Xavi where do you think they them? and he replied "to jail" too funny... When Sophia got out of school we kept on looking.

In search for the cows, the kids visited Tahquitz High , their sister's High school where she is a ninth grader.  Sophia took along her Pony named Diamond.

They searched on the administration building!

Diamond got hungry and had to be fed while Sophia brushed her hair!

Finally they looked in the gymnasium with no luck!  They have to start the search in a different place now!

The kids are really starting to like this adventure and ask me everyday!  Are we taking pictures today?
