Tomorrow Winter starts and also the world ends as some fanatics believe(joke)and oh boy it's cold already bone chilling temperatures!  I know I know a lot of people have it worse. 

This is the last post on my Seasons Change Second Edition.  A whole year of weekly pictures another challenge that I've finished.  I've really enjoyed it and hopefully you did too.  Next year I will be back (got you there ah!  next year 12 is in days!)  

There is some snow on top of the mountain .  Also, my husband and kids will have a two week winter break! yay! Hopefully we go to Idyllwild to play in the snow.    Stay warm dear friends and hug your loved ones.

One lesson to learn during the seasons all year round :

Take everyday with a smiley face!
Be it sunny, cloudy, freezing cold or bloody hot
It can be hard
but the positive attitude will make it much easier :)

This morning we woke up with heavy fog.  We left the house a couple of minutes earlier so we could stop and take a picture.  We could touch it, see it, breath it, but could not see very far.  Fog is always so mysterious, the unknown lies ahead of us like in a scary movie.  We started talking about scary movies and Xavi got a bit frighten and alarmed, he said that the slaughter man would come out and get us. Luckily that didn't happen and I got the kids to school safely.

 The Fall leaf shows continue.  Pretty soon tall bare trees (or naked trees as I like to call them) What a view!

There is nothing more disappointing that wanting to step on a dry leaf and that said leaf not being 'crunchy' enough!
It's also disappointing that someone 
beats you to it or is it fun?? I say it's fun.

I am just exaggerating of course 
there are more disappointing things in life, 
so I will just call it a bummer.

Men at work all over the city it is a good thing I tell you!

Mother nature at work too.  Early mornings are crisp and cool.  Trees are changing colors, chilly windy gusty breeze.

This is my neck of the woods.  Still waiting for rain.

Meanwhile in the aftermath of destruction that Sandy left behind I am sending good vibes, prayers, healing wishes and positive thoughts to those who need them.  May they recover quickly.

 Remember that fox I told you before that 

I've seen roaming  the fields nearby?

I've actually seen it more than two or three times before that.

Well, yesterday morning while driving the kids to school, we saw it had been ran over by a car :(

It was just laying there in the middle of the street...very sad indeed.

Can I get more whipped cream...lots of it please :(

We do not have a fireplace at home, never had one really! but I bet it would be nice.  Sitting by the fireplace, sipping on a cup of hot chocolate on a Friday night, listening to some music or watching a movie with the kids, or a romantic comedy (probably by myself because nobody will want to watch except Sophia...maybe)  Or if it's me and my husband watching it would probably be a zombie movie or something bloody fake he enjoys those!  Those are comedies for him :/
  
Yes that would be nice. 
I bet people are stocking on fire wood now.

 I love the smell of fireplace smoke in the mornings 
while I ride my bike on the weekends.

We had another heat wave starting this week 

Monday and Sunday we were at 110 F

Just last week I told the kids that we needed to start looking for trees changing color, falling leaves...

we're hoping it's soon!

I walked to my truck one morning and saw what appeared to be a leaf on the driveway, definitely fall color but I got closer and saw this firefly?  Not really sure what it is but the color definitely called my attention.  It also reminded me that I need new tires on my truck.

I was taking pictures for my etsy shop.  I laid my camera down on the counter and it only reminded me that I can't wait to see some fall colors.  Hello Fall.

Goodbye Summer at least officially, 

is there a like button?? because I would hit it more than twice. 

Don't get me wrong I like Summer,kids

out of school, long afternoons, free time without schedules.

It's the heat that it's the hardest to cope with.

But we've made it.

Sleepless nights??  Yes I have those once in a while...too many things on my mind I need to learn to set them aside in order to have a good night's sleep. I also, hate waking up in the middle of the night to go pee because then it's hard to go back to sleep.

I always thought that it is fascinating how ancient people used stars as guides to travel.  I don't have a sense of direction or don't know how to read a map.  

On a compass I know the South is at the bottom because I learned that the North is on top, and the West (beach) is on the left therefore the East is on the right!!  Heck I don't have a GPS but I bet you even if I had one I'd get lost while driving for directions. No kidding! 

I think I can tell the where is the  little dipper.

I've never ever been interested in astrology nor astronomy but I remember while in my teenage years reading the "horroscopes".  Truly never lived by it, specially after a friend of mine who worked at a local newspaper told me how he himself wrote them and just made up numbers and positive things so that people believe them.  Ultimately why trust the stars if I can trust in the one who made them!

This has Summer has indeed been a crazy one and extremely hot!  But then again if you know me I'd probably say that every Summer :/ Summer is not my favorite season.

Last week it poured on us!  But only for about 20 minutes, then it was more hot and humid than ever. The kids got very excited I let them get wet a bit again.  Xavi said it was like a free car wash!  Let it rain!!!!

This Summer...lots of visitors:

A possum that just stood there for a long period of time, while my dog barked and barked to let the 

whole neighborhood about the arrival.  Funny looking fellow wouldn't you say??

A night Owl, that just came flapping down to one of my chairs on the backyard.  Then he landed on the fence I luckily had my camera on hand. These hunt at night, so during the day they can't see very well.  Now this is beauty I think!

 Ants that luckily haven't found the way in 

to my kitchen or pantry! But they are very very close :/ Knock on wood.

There are also those squirrels, frogs, lizars, birds, neighbors' cats that never fail to visit.

yes, lots of visitors...wanted or unwanted!

With this heat wave, I am always conscious not to be be running errands all day long.  I try to do them in the earliest morning hours and I stay indoors as much as possible. 

I often see these fake trees so I had to ask my husband what are those, what is their purpose?  He said they are antennas.

I love handmade and think it is the best in every case.  Even though this tree is not specifically handmade (I will say is manmade).  This manmade tree it just does not look real, it looks fake and for me it does not make the cut.

But fake as it is I am sure if I am  outside and in need of some shade,  this plastic tree will do its job when it comes to shade.

The weather has not been pleasant lately.  It has not ease up.  Specially this last week :(  Let me see If I can explain...it's been:

ugly, nasty, icky, sticky, hot and humid 

...enough adjectives??  I can think of more adjectives in Spanish and they flow much better believe me!

Excessive heat between 104-107 F  I know some of you friends have higher temperatures and my heart really goes out to you :(
We've had 'flex alerts' which means conserve energy to avoid blackouts.

To top it off we've had thunderstorms this past weekend a thunder actually hit a house :/ on the East side of town

 and tornado hitting nearby cities.

Here in Hemet we only had scattered showers,
we literally danced in the rain.

For a good ten minutes

here's proof!

It's been so long since I danced in the rain
I enjoyed it so much.  Truth be told.

oh yeah and more wild fires :/  This was a scary one that started Tuesday just before 1:00 pm and kept me up most of the night, very close to home.

          Another piece of advice when coming to Hemet:

                   Do not wear your wool during Summer!

          ...unless you are being herded by sheepdogs.

One piece of advice for you if for any reason you decide to come to live to Hemet or visit for the Summer:

Find a place with shade...lots of it!

On a side note I showed this picture to my husband and he told me he never noticed how tall the tree is.  He's been driving that same street for three years now.  Yesterday was three years that we moved to Hemet.

A piece of advice to him:

I took this picture early morning during one of my bike rides.  I  would not want to get caught sitting here waiting on a bus in the middle of the day on an above 100 F temperature.

But then again I think I'd will rethink the previous statement.
 It's cheaper to ride the bus.  I didn't tell you that about three weeks ago I got a speeding ticket in San Diego :/

Not the first one, I've gotten one before (not that I am proud of it I tell you)

I know I cannot excuse myself, but really I wasn't going very that fast. I was just going with the flow... Now I am waiting for the ticket in the mail to pay for the consequences.
