July's crochet along

I love fast and easy crochet project and July's crochet along was certainly that!  This month Mabel from More Than... hosted the crochet along.   Fast and easy and best of all they made great Birthday presents for the girls in my family and I am certain to make some more because I got some more requests already. The watermelons coasters are going to my sister and the bracelets are going to my niece.

My watermelon coasters(free pattern from Make and Takes)are seedless ah!  I do hate the tedious job oh hiding the ends...:/

Aren't these cute?  I do think so!

This is Trek bracelet (free pattern from Felted Button) I made a couple of those one in pink and one in cream.
As always Xavi is my model for pictures.  But he enjoys it, he can't deny it!

Let's join the link up party!

By the way, I cleaned my camera some more and the spot is not there any more.  It's weird because I cleaned it thoroughly...I guess I freaked and just put it away thinking of repair costs :(
(Please insert a big relief here!)

I am somewhat upset today :/  I took some pictures and there was a black spot right on the bottom left corner of every picture.  None of these picture have it because I took these pictures earlier.  I cleaned the lense but the spot was still there.  I don't know what is wrong?  I might have to take my camera to have it checked and that means $$  see why I tell you I'd like more of the green "D"  arrgghhh!!! @#$%!!!!!!

Once he said I do...and I did too.

You know when you hear a song and pay attention the the lyrics?  Well this is our song, my husband's and mine. I made it ours.  It talks about sharing, the ups and downs and best of all at the end of the day a love story is still being written.

This is a song in Spanish but I did my best to translate in hopes you get the feeling. To me it sounds like a poem.

When you kiss me the way you do,when I kiss you the way I do
It's like discovering heaven full of surprises.

From January to December, be it sunny or be it Spring
I find everything in you, everything that my heart desires.

Living is the least of things if we walk hand in hand.
While we are together who cares if we have failed
Sometimes I forgive you, sometimes you forgive me
What matters is that at the end of the day we keep writing our love story.

I share with you my days, I share with you my dreams
I share with you hours, I share with you my time
Rainy mornings and sleepless nights

I share with you my song, my craziness my everything

I share with you my fears along with my smiles
Who cares if life goes by in a hurry
What matters is that I love you just as you love me
If my eyes close at night, let it be on your bed.

Once he said I do...and I did too.
Today is our 14th year anniversary.

Sunkissed by influenster

I've been sunkissed by influenster with SunBoxBox this Summer, yes readers it's very exciting to open an influenster box and try out the products!  For free!! :)

This is what it was in the box :)
This is sinfulshine with GelTech nailpolish.  I will be honest when I saw the shade I thought 'great they sent me the darkest of the darkest shade!!'  But guess what I liked it!  It wasn't as bad as I thought.  This nailpolish is very shiny and thick which means it does not peel easy.  Besides they have 32 eye popping shades to choose from ;)
They also sent me these Goody ouchless ribbon elastics.  Even though my hair is short I can still put it up with these babies!  The perfect solution to hot Summer days and still look cool.
Dr Schooll's For her High Heel insoles
Even though my high heels might not be very high I can still rock them with Dr. Scholl's High Heel insoles.  They provide long lasting comfort and makes things much easier because it takes the pressure off the ball of your foot.  You can also use them with sandals, slides slingbacks and strappy dress shoes because the insoles are invisible.  One word can describe these insoles 'relief'.
Last, I received Olay Fresh Effects BB cream.  This cream promises to refresh, brighten, even tones, hydrate, smooth and protect.  I admit that I am guilty of neglecting sunscreen protection on my face unless I am at the beach or I will  spend a fair amount of time outdoors.  Trying this cream saves me that step because it has sunscreen.   There is no greasy heavy  feeling it is very light weight really and I love it that is has a splash of tinted sheer color.

Thanks influenster from making Summer 2013 a bit easier ;)

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from influenster,
all opinions are mine.

Family Reunion in Coronado California

Hello my dear friends I hope you had a great weekend.  I did!  On Saturday our family headed out to my husband's side of the family reunion 'The Aguilars'.   We drove to Coronado California, a lovely city right next to the San Diego Bay and Downtown San Diego...where the cheapest condo sells for half a million :/  they have the perfect weather so that will cost them!
Picture overload next so grab the popcorn!

We had a great leisure time with the family, we met new family members ate lots of food.  We walked and rode bikes along the bay. We witnessed a wedding...one more guest?  There were also preparations for one other wedding...I bet the reception was a magical event.  We played potato sack races (yes I did too but I don't dare to post pics) We had a perfect weekend!  How was yours?
