Yes, this past weekend was celebrate celebrate!
My brother had a Birthday on September 20, we had a cake for him on Saturday. He turned 41 so surely he could share 4 candles with my baby boy!
Make a wish!!!
Then Sunday morning off we go to Sea World!! My husband, my father in law, a teenager, three elementary kids, the Birthday Boy and myself, crazy I know!! my niece and nephew weren't in the plan they live in a different city they got lucky because we had extra passes and they showed up Saturday night!
So here is the gang! I am the camera man (another fact, I hate pictures) I know they are not really posing it's hard to get them to!!
We had a shark encounter! a display of sharks while walking through a submerged acrylic viewing tube.
Shark byte anyone??
We also saw "Sea Lions LIVE" a comedy show starring a duo of sea lions and their own version of today's most popular TV shows, movies and music!
In the Wild Arctic we came face to face with beluga whales, polar bears and walruses as we passed thru the chilly exhibit! the kids were just amazed!
We did go on some kiddie roller coaster rides! Smile!!
Look no hands!
We also saw Blue Horizons, a show with dolphins, birds and pilot whales! Great colorful show!
Blue Horizons! Hey who is the man in the hat in my picture???
And finally we saw "The Shamu Show Belive" BEWARE KILLER WHALE PICTURES NEXT...
Shamu Waves!
Shamu splashes!
Shamu flips!
That was fun! And to end the evening we went on this wet and wild roller coaster ride called Journey to Atlantis. My 6 year old niece cried for her mommy! the poor thing! we ended up all wet but we had the best fun! Double click on the link and you will view 32 seconds of wet fun!
And finally on Monday Xavi had his own cake and his very much wanted Lego Toy Story Army Men on Patrol!

Seasons Change Week 3
Season: one of the four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), beginning astronomically at an equinox or solstice, but geographically at different dates in different climates.
Every morning on our way to my daughters school we go past a ranch with a long row of big trees that surely change with the seasons but we hardly notice. My kids and I have decided to embark on a project that will help us notice that gradual change on the trees. My daughter Sophia will take at least a weekly picture after school for a whole year, I will post it on my blog entry on Fridays and my little one Xavi wants in it too so he will take a picture of some cows from a different ranch and improve his picture taking skills.
Here is this weeks picture. Taken on 09/24/10 There are different types of trees along this row and some of them have completely lost all of their leaves. Some have lost leaves on their bottom branches.
Most of the trees are green overall.
Xavi captured a single cow drinking water. The rest of them were under some shade. The temperature was 97 degrees.

What to buy on a Wednesday...
Todays post I will dedicate it to my kitchen! Hey I'm on a row here lately it's been me, me and me only! Sometimes "me" it's a good thing right?? ; )
Most of the time you have things and don't appreciate them enough. My mom used to have yellow and green colors and our walls and furniture when we were growing up! I remember we had a green avocado color refrigerator! Well back then I used to say yucky color! When do we get rid of this?? Now thanks to the magic of etsy I'm browsing to find retro kitchen items. This is what I found.
I found this great sunshine marigold retro square tablecloth in a gingham fabric with two floral appliques that is sure to brighten up my kitchen and give the feeling of an ongoing picnick. Tablecloth by tuwhittuwhoo.
Here is a great set of four colorful plates by LynnwoodPorcelain and I am sorry girls retro on not I love the colors! Only I need one more or someone in my house will eat off a paper plate ji ji ji! Aren't they lovely!
Talking about funky and color! Here is a tupper plate made into a clock by IMOTIME, and I do have to say this shop has the greatest variety of clocks in display check it out!
Ohhh! I just fell in love with this sunny yellow chocolate set of mugs! Now, I am hot chocolate drinker my husband can sip on his coffee while we watch a movie! This set by ConfettiGarden.
While is it true I do not drink coffee at all! I do enjoy a cup of tea. Let it be natural or green tea (because of all the antioxidants) Well this is the cutest teapot that will certainly serve its purpose! My husband will join me for tea time I'm sure...teapot by merrymayfarm.
Ohhhh! I love love this basket! I could not resist adding this berry basket to my retro kitchen collection because my kids love, love and love strawberries! I can display strawberries in my kitchen, well that is just a saying because most of the time the basket would be actually empty! Any strawberry that last more than a couple of hours in my house is lucky! Basket by crosseyedcrickets.
Well, what do you think about my kitchen and my picks?? Yes I know you would like it! Now let's see what my husband thinks about that!

Menudomania
Menudo: A Puerto Rican boy band that achieved much success especially during the 1980's becoming the most popular Latin America's teen musical group of the era!
I was a tween going into my teenage years! I was 12 and it lasted for me until I was about 15 or 16. Awww great music!! lovely bubble gum pop! And yes, I was there! Listening to their music, buying their records, clipping their pictures out of magazines, making scrapbooks, watching their movies, tuned up to their radio station hours, raising money to buy tickets to go to their concerts ( I went to two of them). Hard core fan I was!
Fifteen years later I even went to El reencuentro which was the name that six ex--members used for their comeback concert remembering menudos golden era. I went with my aunt which was my partner in crime and we took along my sis who is 13 years younger then me and was just a baby when menudo was shinning. With great surprise and found there one of my best friends in middle school sitting right there next to my booth! We haven't talked in a long time and we were both there reunited by this great band. At the reencuentro I shed tears, tears of happiness reminiscing good memories, old friends, broken hearts, middle school crushes such as my P.E. teacher and the principal's son as I was always shooting for the stars you know!!
I play their music all the time now and my son and daughter enjoy it as much as I do. I'd like to share one of my favorite songs with you titled "Dulces Besos" "Sweet Kisses" that precisely talks about middle school love!

Here is a close up to one of the trees. I would say it's 95% green because the bottom branches have totally lost their leaves.
And here are the cows again!

What to Buy on a Wednesday...
When I was in High School many Summers ago I used to spend a lot a time at my local Library. Browsing thru endless shelves of books. I would check out magazines, arts and crafts books, novels, children books for my little sis. I was happy there! I always thought that being a Librarian was the coolest job ever ! I really don't know what their work is all about but just thinking working at a quiet place such a Library surrounded by books made me Happy! I've dedicated this Wednesday Series as if I had ended up as Librarian!
First thing is first, I found this great pencil skirt by oneaviandaemon because I have to have style and dress professionally and really look like a Librarian, you know when you're young you look up to people as role models. Oh my! well then I would have made the coolest Librarian in the whole wide world... of course I was 100 1bs. back then!
Every Librarian needs a pair of glasses and to go with them I found the perfect chain or leash so my pair of glasses never get lost! This one by AngiesJumbledMusings
I also found this great looking leather journal to jot down my personal notes, plans, thoughts, feelings and what nots! Isn't this the perfect journal very professional looking and suitable for the perfect Librarian! This one by anticovalore
Well what do you know sitting in a chair does not have to be boring or tiresome! I found this cute Dictionary Pillow by zulamay to have on my chair at work! what better way to show your love for books!
Next, I found this lovey Tiny Blue Bubbles Lampwork Swarovsky Crystal and Seed Bead Bookmark by OklahomaMama. Aka a book thong! When you have to look professional you have to go all the way. And yes OklahomaMama I totally agree with you, a thong for a book makes me giggle too!
Now I couldn't resist adding this lovely Zipper Pouch by kukubee to my collection! Besides showing the love for books I think it shows the inner child we all have in ourselves and I have it out on my desk all the time for many ohhhs! and awwhs!
And last, I wouldn't be caught without my personalized stamp! This one by cupcaketree (By the way I've bought from her before and she is great!) Only my stamp would read Mrs. Aguilar...I think I would go stamp crazy! lol!
Now, I don't go to the Library as often as I used to go or have many extra time to read books but I do take my children to instill on them the love for books.
In this picture my daughter Sophia, my son Xavi and my nephew Isaac and their Library friends!

What to buy on a Wednesday...
Tomorrow September 9, it's my Birthday! I will be 39 and as a homemaker you do everything for everybody else. Two and a half years ago I stumbled upon etsy! A venue that has helped me relax and take stress away while creating, I've also made friends along the way. I've also made a little money that helps support the habit of buying some more paper, books, yarn and ribbon! lol My first shop is moncy3 and my recently opened new shop is moncyscottage both named after my daughter's nickname Moncy. Her name is Sophia Monserrat, I know she will be thrilled when mentioned! So I will take this Wednesday and make a wish list for myself with the hopes that one day I will have my own shabby chic studio. Here we go!
First of all, I need a desk I am always tracing and cutting at the kitchen table and I do need something nice to work in. This one by PaintedPatina has great drawer space for my stash of paper. Just perfect.
Next, its a comfy lovely restored vintage chair by BlushVintageRevival I can surely sit here for hours tracing, cutting and gluing paper!
I found this lovely magnetic board by ShugabeeLane that will just be perfect to save all my notes, reminders, to do lists etc.
I've also found this awesome pink ribbon spool holder that hardly takes up any space and it looks so shabby chic. By Krazykatedesigns
I just could not resist adding to my wish list this great wall base and hooks by OldNewAgain I can safely store my scissors in that vase and hold my keys and a hat!
And finally this great letter holder by belletreats can hold and sort my folded envelopes and unglued envelopes until they are ready for picture taking, listing and then be stored until they're sold.
See what I do is much fun. I love doing it and someday I will have a lovely space to work in as a real business woman only in a shabby chic surrounding!
