Seasons Change Week 8
Season: one of the four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), beginning astronomically at an equinox or solstice, but geographically at different dates in different climates.
Every morning on our way to my daughters school we go past a ranch with a long row of big trees that surely change with the seasons but we hardly notice. My kids and I have decided to embark on a project that will help us notice that gradual change on the trees. My daughter Sophia will take at least a weekly picture after school for a whole year, I will post it on my blog entry on Fridays and my little one Xavi wants in it too so he will take a picture of some cows from a different ranch and improve his picture taking skills. No more rain this week! picture taken on 10-28-10 but the temperature has been comfortably in the upper 70's They did some pruning on the bottom branches on some of the trees and they still need to do some clean up. As far as the cows I took the picture this time as the kids wanted to get closer to the them. Here is the little super model and Xavi and his Ninja moves!

What to buy on a Wednesday...Red Ribbon Week
For those who are staying clean from illegal drugs, Red Ribbon Week is the time to stand up and be counted. Held each year in the last week of October, the program calls itself the "oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation," which reaches millions of students. Some fun activities go around at schools this week. As always I go to etsy for some help on my picks!
For crazy hair day I could just go as myself but I really like this Orange Gigantic Afro Wig by CrudeThings to cover my own afro...I think I'd look great!
For crazy hat day this beautiful and funky red hat to show that I have some style! hat by arianemariane
For crazy socks day...these cheerful full of color and vibrant pair of socks! my feet would be so warm...socks by FeetingFrenzy
For pajama day I choose this lovely nightgown and cap by pattisoriginals of course in a size that fits me because I am no longer in my Elementary years! I am only a bit past that! lol!
So whatever your choices are let's enlist and support our kids in the fight against drugs while we have fun too!

What to buy on a Wednesday...How to Stay Warm
Ok so last week I gave you some tips on how to stay dry, well this week I have some tips on how to stay warm! I know, I know no brainer but it's fun!
First of all find yourself the coziest corner of your home and get a nice warm blanket to cover yourself up, this Woven Merino Blanket by RiverFarmRI
Also, get yourself some fluffy and cute pillows like these two by rukkola
Get yourself a nice cup of Joe this cute mug by tinkershop
I am no coffee drinker myself so I rather have a Gourmet Amaretto Hot Chocolate such as this one by tetoncocoacompany
Or perhaps a cup of tea to warm the soul tea by ToppersTeas
If you have a fireplace great!, get it going if not make sure you get some scented candles such as this one by JenSanCandles and get ready listen to some nice soft music.
Or maybe you rather read from your favorite book or novel these books here by DaydreamersUnite but don't forget to turn the lights on if you choose to read...and oh get yourself some company too...It's a good thing to do.

What to buy on a Wednesday...How to Stay Dry
Well I have to admit here in Hemet, CA we are still having 90F weather hardly any clouds and not much rain at all! But we have to be prepared...on this segment I will give you some advise on how to stay dry this rainy season. Let's hope it rains soon because California has been on a drought since forever! As always I thank etsy for this retail therapy Wednesday...
How to stay dry:
Get yourself a pretty rain jacket such as this one by DeNovoStyle I personally like dark colors.
You will also need some rain boots! ThoseAlaskanGirls actually sell boot liners! very cute... you can always add some color to your outfit and then jump in the puddles!
Well of course you need a hat to keep your head warm or just add some style. This Scrappy Hat by marshalynn
Oh! don't let me forget some pretty fingerless gloves such as these by TickledPinkKnits
And a lovely umbrella to keep you dry! like this one, picture by Kirsty2715
Get your little ones a raincoat also, or you might have a couple like I do! This Raincoat by TheEnchanted Square
And you may also have a dog...raincoat by tuggiemacqueen
Easy as that! Stay dry..

What to buy on a Wednesday...This is who I really am...
Besides the title "What to buy on a Wednesday" I will start labeling these babies so I don't get lost! lol!
I would like to show my true self...I am a simple girl not very complicated, but like any girl you cannot ever have too may shoes. This is who I really am, a mom and a coupon user. If my kids run I run after them. Like I explained to my Dear friend Micaela on our shoe date I always wear flats or sneakers. I only wear my 2 inch pumps once or twice a year. I am fine with that. When I wear them I do feel hot and sexy. But my true self is comfortable in my old sneakers. So, I'd like to share with you my wishlist in the search for the most comfortable shoes in order to run all of my errands! I love etsy!
Aren't these black Mary Janes the cutest ever! by TheGeneration
I found another pair of Mary Janes but these are Cross My heart Mary Janes. They are handmade with scarlet satin ribbon and rhinestone heart buckles. You can find them here in beeliciouss
I found this great shop in which you send her your own shoes and she will hand embroider the flower of your choice good deal! ashleystiches
These comfy slip on suede shoes for this fall season would be a great acquisition! and they are named Dolly! by palmyshoe
Oh I love these! Brown suede wedges and their cute bows I could wear them day and night! Let's pretend they are my size ok!!! by recyclinghistory
Another oh!! for these drawstring ballet flats by annalisehusfeld they are so delicate and cute!
Shoe shopping isn't this fun!!

Calendar make over
Xavi and me attended a Home Depot workshop back in January of this year where we made a wooden calendar and Sophia helped us the painting. The originals stickers were somehow lost and I ended up writing the numbers and the months with a sharpie! Day after day I regretted very much the fact that the stickers were lost. It was a project that I liked but not really loved because of my writing... Sophia did a great job painting it. So I decided to give it half a makeover.
This is the way it looked. Good but not great!
I gave it a coat of primer! I'm very particular about doing things so this part I did it myself!
Then my helper gave it some color! This was the fun part so I let him do it!
Here is the color!
Then some fun stickers which I had forever and then realized that I could have done this since day one but I never really thought about it until now! duh!! (Since Sophia was busy at club penguin and really didn't care much about helping on this project I put the stickers myself)
This is the end result! Now I really love it! What day is today??
