I'd like to thank all of you who participated and voted on our second edition of "The Messiest Hair" contest

once again a success... I like the sound of that.

We had a total of 9 votes and they all went to
Sophia

who by the way is very proud (I really don't know if she will still be proud a few years from now :/ )

she totally swept all other 3 contestants

Congratulations to our reigning champion!!

All 9 names went in the magic ziploc bag and Sophia randomly picked out a name,

Seasons Change...Week 41

Season:  one of the four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter), beginning astronomically at an equinox or solstice, but geographically at different dates in different climates.

Every morning on our way to my daughters school  we go past a ranch with a long row of big trees that surely change with the seasons but we hardly notice.  My kids and I have decided to embark on a project that will help us notice that gradual change on the trees.  My daughter Sophia  will take at least a weekly picture after school for a whole year, I will post it on my blog entry on Thursdays and my little one Xavi wants in it too so he will take a picture of some cows from a different ranch and improve his picture taking skills.

Cow story:  the cows we used to take pictures of have been missing since December.  Kids are on the lookout!

We still have seen any cows in town we've actually taken 'vacation' too seriously...but we invite you to go along and vote on another segment of our "Messiest Hair Contest"

Messiest Morning Hair Contest

Last week was a busy one!  We came back from the beach and had lots of sand to get rid of.

My niece and nephew stayed over for a couple of 

days while my sister was on the move

to her new house in Hemet.  

We helped them move boxes and unpack. Last week it was Ailani's 7th Birthday and we made time to sing and cut the cake in the midst off all the moving chaos.

These pictures were taken when they stayed over and I thought it would be great to have another Messiest Hair Contest

Here are the rules:

Mix and Match Game

Everything spelled trouble at my mom's backyard
on Friday with so many kids.

So I went on a couple of errands taking half of them with me and then my mom met me with the rest of the kids at 7-11
I asked the kids to help me on this new game
the more the merrier right?? :/
They were honored with the idea of being featured on my blog :)
plus they got their prize ;)

Each kid bought a piece of item (junk food) 

of their choice...

I don't see them on a daily basis so I 

think I am allowed to do that.

It was crazy  chaos but fun in there
each of them trying to decide
what to get and giving advice to each other
and me wanting to take pictures! OH and convincing Xavi 
that only one piece of candy and not 
any toys :(

So here are the kids:

This is Ivan, my brother's son he lives in Phoenix and he loves visiting during the summers (of course this is where the fun is) He is 11 years old.

This is Isaac my sister's son he truly is a handful, before the age of two he ended up in the ER at least twice!  We always gotta keep an eye on him, but a very loving guy! He is 8 yrs old.

This is Ailani my sister's daughter she is 6 (Isaac and her are brother and sister) She wants to be the leader ALWAYS...She is a true Diva! she never leaves home without a purse. (Just like her mommy)

This is Valentino Isaac and Ailani's uncle he is 8 yrs old.  He is a quiet sweet guy! who does not make any trouble at all.

Of course you know Sophia, she decides not to wear glasses during summer!  She is 9 yrs old.

My Xavi, he is in love with Ailani and follows her every move! 

He is 4 yrs old.

I spent last Friday and Saturday at my mom's 

in America's finest city

(I like the sound of that!) 

We had a great surprise when we got there, my mom had visitors

...my niece and nephews where visiting 

from Chino CA and Phoenix AZ!

I am not going to lie a full house with six kids ranging in ages from 4-11 can get chaotic

...and it did!!

Me and Sophia had this mix and match game in mind

On our way to the mail box!

This is a simple game me and the kids played

a couple of weeks ago.

We walked our way to the mailbox

I had my camera in hand 

They took turns in telling me when to stop

I took a picture.

Perfect! some Happy mail arrived

my vacuum filters I ordered from amazon

...now I can vacuum happily!
