Last Monday when I said that we leave the house early to beat the heat in order to make errands I meant it. I mean getting the kids out of the house to go to Walmart or Target during vacation at 7:30 am is almost a sin right?  I kinda feel bad but they are early birds like me too.  Most of the time they know in advance since they ask me what are the plans for the next day.  Oh and BONUS  we also beat the crowds since everybody is out on vacation!!

This is the latest photo session before going in to Walmart hence Sophie's hair.  She did apologize :/

What She Wore

I had my eyes set on this location for a set of pictures for the What She Wore segment.  These pictures were taken a few weeks before school ended.   That specific morning there was a guy taking the trash out and he was looking at us weird like what are they doing here?  So we choose to get it over with quickly, anyways that morning Emma was not in the best mood.  

Every time we do this we have so much fun! I don't know it's probably the "Hurry up!! mom just take the pictures" factor. Next year when Sophie goes to High School we won't have that extra hour to get the pictures done so we will have to figure out a way to keep up with the segment. Talking about High School the Summer Bridge Program got cancelled!  Sophie and I were so bummed because of the reason it got cancelled...not enough kids registered WOW! Cannot believe it...oh well

What She Wore

Days have been getting warmer and warmer here in Hemet. The kids are counting the days to get out of school.  Sophia will have a very busy Summer volunteering at the Public Library she will be attending a Summer Bridge program that will ease the transition to High School.  High School?? yikes I cannot believe she is starting High School already!  It was in the ninth grade when I came to this country and started
High School knowing no English 26 years ago!  Times does fly!

I like misty morning don't you?

I am very excited!  I will tell you why, I've had Emma's child bike carrier since December and finally this weekend (about time I know!) we went and bought a new bike for me so Emma and I can go on bike rides.  It just so happens that while everyone is watching movies or reading, nobody will volunteer to watch Emma for a while so that I can ride my bike.  SO what is the solution?  I take her with me!!

Looking forward to those bike rides...

I really love this drive. This is Winchester farms, pretty close to the post office that I visit often. 

I have been feeling overwhelmed lately with the end of school approaching pretty soon.  School testing and projects and field trips... 

With the start of spring I started doing a little gardening in my back yard.  Emma enjoys it.

I only hope that I can keep the plants alive. 

The morning we took the pictures was pretty.  Full of sunshine but not hot yet.  Just perfect for some inspiration and to gain energy to start the day.

Is it possible that Sophie stopped hibernating...maybe yes! she felt like wearing dresses to school again!  We will see if the weather keeps cooperating and helps Sophie get in the mood for some more dresses.

What She Wore

Last Saturday we enjoyed our city's Christmas parade.  It was fun we all liked it and so did Emma although she took a nap right in the middle of it and nothing really bothered her.  I really like it when she can sleep over any noise.  Later she woke up and enjoyed it some more.

Sophia is not a sports person, she does not like any sports at all or physical activities whatsoever music is her thing. Lately she's been toying with the idea of joining a dance studio.  There were various dance studios at the parade.  So this week we finally went in and inquired about the classes.  It's almost the end of the year and the classes are getting ready to perform at various events therefore Sophia will get to take a free class on Thursday December 17 to get a feel for it and if she likes it we will register her to start classes in January.  Yay!  more after school activities to make the day even shorter :/  

Maybe she will be in the next Christmas parade!

What She Wore

It's been in the mid 40's in the morning these past few days...very cold for us Californias that always complain about the heat and cold.

As I started to write this post I remembered that last year I came across this meme on Facebook and shared it on my feed.  I just had to go and dig it in order to share it with you guys.

Anyways, the weather is basically the reason why Sophie has not wore a dress these past few weeks. Last Sunday she bought this dress.  I guess she was eager to wear it for the first time because she said "I know my fans are waiting so let's do a photo-shoot!..." ay Sophie!!

and then there I go overboard with the pictures but honestly I loved all the pop of colors in this session!
