Seasons Change Second Edition...Summer Week 9

For a whole year I will try to find the awesomeness included in all four seasons,
perhaps the weather or a nature shot...
maybe display the holidays in turn
who knows?
The sky is the limit.

With this heat wave, I am always conscious not to be be running errands all day long.  I try to do them in the earliest morning hours and I stay indoors as much as possible.

I often see these fake trees so I had to ask my husband what are those, what is their purpose?  He said they are antennas.

I love handmade and think it is the best in every case.  Even though this tree is not specifically handmade (I will say is manmade).  This manmade tree it just does not look real, it looks fake and for me it does not make the cut.

But fake as it is I am sure if I am  outside and in need of some shade,  this plastic tree will do its job when it comes to shade.

  1. I have never seen a fake tree quite that big...and to be used as a disguise for an antenna...that's pretty cool...but yes..it does look a little stiff. I wonder how it will weather...will it fade? Time will tell.

thanks for sharing...stay inside and keep cool.

  2. O, is that plastic? Interesting. It does seem rather.. rigid.. lol. O well, at least they did try to be creative with the antenna! p.s. Pop by my blog for a little surprise for you :)

  3. I confess I don't like those tree antennas either ... but then I think would I rather just see a big metal structure instead? We have them all over Connecticut where I am and the problem is that the tree doesn't look like the other trees here. And it is much taller so it just looks ridiculous! What is the solution? throw out our phones so there is no need for these cell towers? I know I have become far to dependent on being 'connected' all the time. Sigh

  4. I didn't even know there was such a thing!!! :) Either there aren't any here where I live, or the fake trees here look so real I didn't notice :) I'm going to be more observant now and make sure there aren't any fake ones lurking around :) TOO funny!

  5. Lol, about your response to the fake tree.

Yes choosing what to eat was a lot easier when we were little.

  6. Oh my goodness, I was totally fooled. There is a great antenna on our way home from Santa Cruz... they made it into a wind mill in a field, such a great idea! Like them or not, I NEED those antennas for my darn cell phone!

  7. LOL! We have these on the east coast too! They are horribly fake looking! A simple tower would probably look better. These remind me of the artificial Christmas tree my parents would set up in the 1970s & 1980s. It looked so sad.
